Proceedings of the 1619 Virginia Assembly

The Proceedings of the 1619 Virginia Assembly is the story of the beginnings of self- representative government in the Americas. This Assembly started the use of the Common Law in the Americas which the U.S. still uses and serves as the beginnings of the government systems we have in the United States. It is the model of the U.S. Federal, State, County, City and District entities. This book contains the Journal (minutes) of that meeting.

With the permission of The National Archives of Great Britain (TNA), this book contains images of the original manuscripts and their transcription.

This book is a primary source and a must for all serious American historians.
